The Garden Club of Evanston, A History: 1915-2015

I'm thrilled to announce the publication of my newest project, The Garden Club of Evanston, A History 1915-2015. Completed in a little less than two years with writers Mary Nahser and Mary Lu O'Malley, I served as book designer and manuscript editor for this heavily-illustrated 275-page history of the Garden Club of Evanston. From its founding during World War I to its public projects and partnerships with Northwestern University, the City of Evanston, and Evanston Township High School, the Garden Club of Evanston has beautified, educated, and enriched the community of Evanston, IL for over 100 years. The volume contains hundreds of restored photographs, garden planning blueprints, news clippings, and historical documents from the Garden Club of Evanston, detailing how the efforts of its members, their foresight, skill, leadership, and long-standing membership in the Garden Club of America, are responsible for many of Evanston's most cherished green spaces. This is their story.
